Mark Bosnich's failed drugs test is sad, but to be quite honest it could be a merciful release for Chelsea fans.

I think most football fans are sick of clubs paying a few players �40,000-a-week when they are doing absolutely nothing.

It means that the club is wasting money, it's the fans' money - and it's usually hard-earned money.

Drugs, particularly prohibited Class A drugs, are a serious thing.

A lot of football fans earn less in a year then Bosnich gets in a week.

I don't have any sympathy for anybody who earns �2m a year for doing nothing.

When he is on the dole I will feel sorry for him.

But when he is taking �40,000-a-week out of my football club I have no sympathy for him at all.

The club have got the opportunity to sack him and they should do it.

They should do it as cleanly and as quickly as possible.
