Harrogate Town end in Blue Square North with victory
This has been Simon Weaver's first season as manager of Harrogate Town
Harrogate Town ended their time in Blue Square North with a 2-1 win at home to Northwich Victoria.
Two goals from Dave Syers clinched the game for Town who have finished the season at the bottom of the table.
Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "That's what we wanted really to end the season with three points to give people optimism for the future.
"It's obviously too little too late unless we get a reprieve and there may be a chance of that."
He went on: "I just wanted people to show us what they were made of so we could see them next week and make decisions on people's future."
With rumours of a potential reprieve from relegation it is still uncertain which league Harrogate Town will end up in next season but Weaver said he has already started making plans and looking at potential players.
"You've got to get ahead of the game. We'll do our best with the budget we're presented with."
