Late goal at Hinckley denies Harrogate Town a draw
Harrogate Town came back from two goals down, only to succumb to a 90th minute Danny Newton goal as they lost 3-2 at Hinckley in Blue Square North.
Lee Ellington and Dave Syers levelled for Town after the break but Peter Knox missed two more chances.
Town manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "The fighting spirit was so evident out there today, but the nerves were there, and prominent early on.
"We came back fantastically well in the second half, played superb football."
Town must win their last two games and need Vauxhall Motors to lose their final game, to climb off the bottom.
They have hope of avoiding relegation by the back door, but to increase that chance they need to overhaul the Motormen.
"I've heard through the grapevine that we could get a reprieve if we get so many points or get above one of the southern teams or get above Vauxhall," Weaver added.
