Harrogate Town's hopes of moving off the bottom of the Blue Square North table have improved with the 1-0 win at Gloucester City.
Peter Knox scored the only goal of the game to end a run of ten matches without a win.
Manager Simon Weaver told BBC Radio York: "What a difference from only two nights ago.
"We were professional, we played the elements well, and what a reaction from the second half the other night."
The win came only two days after the 5-2 defeat to Corby Town confirmed Town's relegation.
Weaver felt the game at Gloucester finally signalled a change in their fortunes.
"On the way down to Gloucester we counted up at least 13 games that we've lost by the one goal," he said.
"People look down their nose at you when you say luck plays a part, but at times we just haven't had the rub of the green.
"Sometimes we have come unstuck and I think the lads were beaten up a little bit from previous games.
"But I just asked the players for commitment against Gloucester, and to play for myself and play for them, so credit where it's due."
