Sodje back after six months out

Sheffield Wednesday frontman Akpo Sodje came through his first game in six months unscathed in Tuesday's 4-1 friendly win over MK Dons.

The 27-year-old, who suffered ligament damage in January, set up two goals.

Owls manager Brian Laws said: "To see Sodje back in the team is a massive boost for us, to see him work as he did last season was great.

"From the moment he got his legs going we got going. He can be our leader of work, where everybody follows him."

Sodje told BBC Radio Sheffield this could be his best season:

"I've got the chance to do more stuff that I have not been doing before in the months I have been injured - different exercises and treatments.

"Now I am fully fit, and hopefully I will stay fit for the rest of the season. I scored seven goals last season and my aim is to score more goals than that."
