Huddersfield Town have completed the signing of Gateshead striker Lee Novak for an undisclosed fee.
The 20-year-old has agreed a three-and-a-half year deal with the Terriers.
Novak, who chose Huddersfield over League One rivals Scunthorpe, will be loaned back to the Blue Square North side for the rest of the season.
Huddersfield manager Lee Clark told the club website: "I'm delighted with the signing of Lee. He is a player for the future for us."
He added: "He is a striker that scores goals, which is his main job, but he has good awareness and he brings other people into the game.
"He has a fantastic work ethic and we believe there is a terrific scope for improvement with him; having talked with him he is the type of character that wants to learn and become a better player."
