Tua serves notice
Tua challenged Lennox Lewis for a world title in 2000
New Zealand's David Tua stopped American Russell Chasteen on Saturday, serving notice that he is ready to be considered for another heavyweight world title fight.
The Samoan native, who lost to British world champion Lennox Lewis two years ago in a title bout at Las Vegas, improved to 42-3 with a second-round win in Atlantic City. Tua landed a left uppercut that lifted his rival off his feet and referee David Fields had to call the fight when medical officials rushed to aid Chasteen, who was on the canvas for several minutes. Ranked third among IBF heavyweights, Tua has been in discussions with former world champion Hasim Rahman about a matchup next March.
