Wonjongkam retains title
WBC flyweight champion Pongsaklek Wonjongkam retained his title with a 12-round decision win over Japanese challenger Hidenobu Honda in Osaka, Japan.
Making the sixth defence of the belt he wrestled from Malcom Tunacao of the Philippines, Pongsaklek stretched his record to 46 wins, 25 of them by knockout, against two losses. It was 27-year-old Honda's first title challenge. His record falls to 25 wins, including 13 knockouts and two defeats.
