New BBC Live Lessons for 2025/2026

Live Lessons

We’re launching a new series of eight Live Lessons for primary schools, broadcasting from September 2025.

The series kicked off with an exciting new 500 Words literacy lesson and also includes fun interactive programmes for Anti-Bullying Week, Safer Internet Day and World Book Day.

We’ll also be Walking with Dinosaurs as we bring the stunning new BBC iPlayer series into classrooms with children becoming dino-detectives as they solve curriculum-linked puzzles.

All lessons are curriculum-linked for 7-11 year olds and feature fun learning activities they can join in with in real time.

500 Words 2025 – Live Lesson: Watch now

The 500 Words 2025/26 competition has now closed for entries.

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 – Live Lesson: Watch now

Inspire your class to stand up against bullying in our Anti-Bullying Week 2025 Live Lesson, made in partnership with the Anti-Bullying Alliance.

Anti-Bullying Week 2025 took place from Monday 10th - Friday 14th November, with the theme: Power for Good.

BBC Scam Safe 2025 – Live Lesson: Watch now

Help your class stay scam savvy with this curriculum-linked Live Lesson for 7–11 year-olds.

Through interactive activities and practical tips, pupils will learn how to spot common scams, manage money safely and feel confident recognising when something isn’t right.

Walking With Dinosaurs is back with six new episodes, now available to watch on BBC iPlayer and we have a new Live Lesson to celebrate.

Safer Internet Day 2026 – Live Lesson: LIVE at 11:00, Tuesday 10 February

Join us for a Safer Internet Day Live Lesson that will inspire children to respond confidently to tricky online situations.

Safer Internet Day is co-ordinated in the UK by the UK Safer Internet Centre in partnership with Childnet.

The 30 minute Live Lesson will be available to watch live at 11:00 on Tuesday, 10 February on this page and on the CBBC channel and BBC iPlayer.
