Cornish Pirates president Robin Turner has said there is no question of coach Mark Hewitt leaving the club, despite the appointment of Chris Stirling.
Stirling has been brought in as an adviser to help Hewitt get to grips with the new experimental laws.
Turner told the BBC: "There's no question of Mark leaving, despite our indifferent start to the season.
"Chris has got a wealth of experience with the latest laws and will help Mark to improve our performances."
He added: "Mark is not the only coach in National One who's trying to understand the revised laws.

"He needs time to get a broader understanding of the referees' interpretation of the new laws, which seem to differ from week to week.
"For instance, our 12-6 win at Manchester was constantly interrupted by the referee, who seemed to blow his whistle for almost every minor infringement."
