Coach Justin Morgan rules out further Hull KR signings

Brett Finch
Finch is hoping to remain at Melbourne Storm until the end of the NFL season

Hull Kingston Rovers coach Justin Morgan has said the side will not be looking to sign any more new players this year.

The Robins had been linked with Melbourne Storm half-back Brett Finch but Morgan has ruled out an imminent bid for his services.

He told BBC Radio Humberside: "He might be a player that we want to look at for next season.

"But we're not in the market for any players to be brought in this year."

Fellow Super League outfit Catalans Dragons were hoping to sign the 28-year-old Australian with immediate effect but it is thought he is keen to see out the season with the Storm.

Speculation about Finch's future follows the recent salary-cap scandal at the National Rugby League Champions, which effectively leaves all of their players open to offers.
