St Brelade won their opening match of Jersey football's Trinity Shield, beating St Martin 5-2 at Les Quennevais on Wednesday night.
Jordan McBride and Gary Freeman each scored twice for the 2003 winners while former AFC Bournemouth trainee James Queree also found the back of the net.
St Martin had been level at 2-2 through goals from Justin Jouan and John Borg.
However St Brelade prevailed and will face either St Saviour or Trinity in the quarter finals.
That match takes place on Thursday night.
In Tuesday's opening preliminary round match St John came from a goal behind to beat St Mary 5-2.
Ollie Nightingale got both of St Mary's goals, but two John Patterson goals and strikes from Mark Roche, Jamie Smith as well an own goal were enough for St John.
They will now face reigning champions St Clement in the quarter-finals on Saturday, 20 December.
St Saviour are the reigning champions of the competition, which sees Jersey-born players play for either the parish they were born in or the one where they currently live.
It is the oldest competition in Channel Island football having first been held in 1895.
