St Clement are the current holders of the oldest title in the Channel Islands
Trinity Shield holders St Clement ran out comfortable 6-1 winners at home to St John on Saturday.
The first step in the defence of their title could not have been easier, with St Clement scoring at will.
Steve McGuinness and Matt Rawlings scored two apiece while Keiren Lester and David Watson hit the back of the St John net once each.
St Clement have lost just one game, the 2006 final, in almost three years and have reached every final since 2003.
They now have to wait until 27 December the for last quarter-final between St Brelade and St Saviour to find out who they will face in the semi-finals.
