Lawson(l) and Strokosch have become key figures for Gloucester

Scotland internationals Scott Lawson and Alasdair Strokosch have followed Nick Wood in committing their futures to Gloucester by signing new deals. Flanker Strokosch, 27, and hooker Lawson, 29 , have both signed new two-year contracts at the club. "Both Scotty and Strokes have been excellent so far for Gloucester this season," said coach Bryan Redpath. "This is really good news. They are exactly the type of characters we want in the squad going forward." Strokosch, capped 14 times at international level, arrived at Kingsholm from Edinburgh in 2007 and has become a fixture in the Gloucester and Scotland sides. Lawson, with 16 caps to his name, started his career with Biggar RFC before joining the Glasgow Warriors. He signed from Guinness Premiership rivals Sale Sharks in September 2008 and has been a regular in the first XV this season. "The pair of them signing shows their commitment to the club and continues our work in retaining our key players for next season and beyond," said Redpath.
