Former Wasps flanker Paul Volley, 34, is one of six new signings announced by Premiership-bound Harlequins.
He joins from Castres with lock Nicola Spanghero, while Chris Hala'Ufia and David Strettle arrive from Rotherham.
Nottingham prop Peter Cook and Bristol second row Olly Kohn complete the new arrivals who are all on two-year deals.
"This group, combined with the arrival of Stuart Abbott and Hal Luscombe, adds to a squad that can compete with the best," said Quins boss Dean Richards.
"There is a tremendous blend of experienced professionals and exciting young talent within this group of players.
"They will have a big part to play in our return to the Premiership next season and enhance the competition for places that is needed if you are to succeed in the top flight."
