Cornish Pirates leapfrogged Bedford to go fourth in the Championship, beating the Blues 25-24 at Camborne on Sunday. Bedford set the pace with a Myles Dorrian penalty and two converted tries from Ian Davey and Liam Roberts. But a Rob Cook penalty and converted tries from Blair Cowan and Gavin Cattle brought the scores level at 17-17. Ben Gulliver then went over for the Pirates, before Sam Walsh nosed Blues ahead 24-22 with a try. A final Cook penalty stole the game for the hosts.
