But for Britain's more established bowmen, it was a disappointing week after winning two individual and two team medals at the first World Cup tournament of the season in the Dominican Republic in April.
Wills qualified in ninth place for the knockout stages but was beaten 105-101 by the 56th-ranked Mikalai Marusau, while Terry, who won individual bronze in the Caribbean, was defeated 113-109 by Antti Mansukoski.
Larry Godfrey who came through a sudden-death one-arrow shoot-off to reach the last 32, lost 110-106 to Ukraine's Viktor Ruban.
In the women's draw, Williamson, who took silver in the last event, found Italy's Elena Tonetta too strong, losing 111-106 while Burgess lost to France's Berengere Schuh 111-107.
Warwickshire's Naomi Folkard and Edinburgh's Emma Downie lost 102-112 and 99-100 respectively in their first knockout rounds.
In the team event, Barber, Terry and Godfrey were beaten 221-211 by Australia in the men's competition, while Williamson, Folkard and Burgess were defeated by India.
The teams were tied on 217 after their initial 24 arrows, but India won the three-arrow shoot-off 28-23 to go through.
Wills and Burgess scored a combined 2,615 in the new mixed team event to finish eighth.
