Peterborough Panthers rider Claus Vissing says he is delighted to have re-signed for the club for the coming 2009 season.
The Dane had recently become a Panthers club asset following a five-figure fee.
The 22-year-old told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "It's nice to have the contract done and finished so I know what I'm doing next year.
"Every time you come to the track in Peterborough you always see so many smiling faces."
Vissing became a fan favourite in the 2008 campaign, helping the team keep their Elite League status in the end of season relegation play-offs.
The former Stoke rider is likely to take up one of the two reserve places at the Showground and insists that he will be aiming for the top of the table next year.
"My ambition is to go for the play-offs and we'll have to see what happens after that," he said.
