Smith keen to regain winning form

Smith has won two grands prix wins this season

Bradley Smith says he needs to start winning again to keep his 125cc world championship challenge alive.

Going into this weekend's German Grand Prix, the Oxfordshire 18-year-old trails Aspar Aprillia team-mate Julian Simon by 5.5 points in the standings.

"We're all working flat out to find an extra few miles per hour," he said.

"I need to get back to winning grands prix, starting at the Sachsenring and followed by the British Grand Prix at Donington Park."

He added: "I spent a week in Italy staying with a couple of lads from the team and we talked all the time about the next race.

"In between we cycled hard every day and went into the mountains for a couple of days to really get those fitness levels spot on."
