Peterborough United boss Darren Ferguson believes performances will have as much say in his future at the club as results.
Posh are currently 22nd in the Championship table following Tuesday's defeat at Doncaster.
Ferguson told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "My own future will be destined by results, but also by performances.
"You've also got to look at whether the players are responding and until Tuesday night they were."
Ferguson has generally been pleased with his side's performances this season, but was disappointed to see them outplayed at Doncaster.

Posh have taken just eight points from 13 matches, and Ferguson knows that must change.
"I felt the players let me down on Tuesday and they must give me a reaction against Scunthorpe," he said.
"It could be the biggest match in my time here, but it's also a very big game for the club as a whole."
Tommy Williams remains a doubt with an ankle problem and Ferguson has hinted Charlie Lee could come in at left-back in place of Jamie Day.
"Charlie will come back into the reckoning, but his fitness levels have been down owing to his injury problems," he said.
"It was between Charlie and Jamie Day at Doncaster on Tuesday, but Tommy Rowe can also play there."
Ferguson confirmed trialist Elliot Omozuzi will not be offered terms at London Road.
The former Fulham man had been training with Posh and turned out for the reserves against Ipswich on Wednesday.
