Russell has played over 150 league games in two spells at Norwich
Darel Russell has admitted that Norwich City's league position is a big concern as the club heads into 2009.
The midfielder, 28, says that sitting 20th in the Championship just two points above the relegation zone is too precarious to be comfortable with.
"It's got to worry us, if you're not worried about it you're not right in your head," he told BBC Radio Norfolk.
"We've got to start putting things together, and realise it's not easy to mess around in this league."
The Canaries lost both games over Christmas weekend and Russell says they must find some extra fight when they return to league matters after their FA Cup third-round match at Charlton.
"We've got to get it done, show that passion, show that fight, show that desire that we really want to do something," he said.
"In times of difficulty we've got to show that passion, drive, and want to win.
"We've played well over the last few weeks, but we haven't been getting results, so we've got to do something that gets us those results."
