Henderson's only other league goal for the Blades came at Derby
Darius Henderson scored only his second Sheffield United goal to secure victory over Norwich.
Henderson, who joined the Blades from Watford in the summer, headed home Danny Webber's cross from close range.
Stephen Quinn had earlier rattled the bar for the home side, while Henderson Matthew Kilgallon and Billy Sharp all missed chances to extend their lead.
But Norwich battled back and Wes Hoolahan and Arturo Lupoli were both denied an equaliser by the woodwork.
Sheffield United manager Kevin Blackwell:
"I think if we'd have taken our chances, we'd have made it slightly easier.
"We didn't and Norwich have the ability to come back so it was important we kept our concentration at the end. The clean sheet is a big one."
Norwich manager Glenn Roeder:
"It was a very good performance against a club whose expectations are to get promotion.
"We gave them a proper game and it's quite unbelievable that we didn't get anything from it. Even the referee said that we deserved at least a point."
