Daish's side have had a disappointing term after winning the 2008 FA Trophy

Ebbsfleet United manager Liam Daish has admitted he is unsure about his future at the club.

The Fleet ended their season 14th in the Blue Square Premier.

Daish told BBC Radio Kent: "I need to know the whole picture. The club will have a future, they will go on, but what sort of future do they want?

"I think coming off the back of winning the FA Trophy we had a perfect opportunity to really push on and we missed that for whatever reason."

He added: "It's really disappointing and the club needs to lean from that."

Former Republic of Ireland international defender Daish said: "The club needs to find a structure, direction, an input of money.

"It's not in a worse-case scenario, it's got nine to 10 thousand members but we need to be working more off the pitch to back up what's been going on on the pitch."

When asked if he could imagine himself in charge at Stonebridge Road for the start of next season, Daish replied: "I'd like to think so.

"I've put a lot of hard work and effort into this - along with other people.

"For me to walk away from that would be a very hard thing to do.

"But I need to have some sort of assurances, I need to know where the club's going, I need to know what their ambition is.

"Do we want to push on? Do we want to go that extra yard?

"The expectation's here now, everyone wants play-offs because we've achieved every year and we've progressed every year but we need to progress off the pitch as well.

"It's been a disappointing year for me working in the circumstances when I could have seen a lot of things done better."
