Colchester United have named the Australian central defender Chris Coyne as their captain for the new season.
Coyne signed from Luton Town ahead of the transfer deadline last season but his arrival could not prevent the U's dropping into League One.
He replaces Karl Duguid as captain after the midfielder moved to Plymouth Argyle earlier in the summer.
Coyne, who played in World Cup qualifiers for his country in June, was previously captain of Luton.
