Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver has added to his squad by signing midfielder Chris Emms.
The 24-year-old is a former Middlesbrough trainee and he played for Newcastle Blue Star last season before having a spell in Australia.
Manager Simon Weaver beat a number of clubs to sign Emms' and he told BBC Radio York there are more to come.
"There'll be another five or six and they'll probably come out of the trialists we've got," he said.
Weaver said he is delighted with the way his squad is coming together.
We want to form a strong unit that we can drive on and do well this season
Harrogate Town manager Simon Weaver
"We've got a group of 25 at the moment with obviously a lot of trialists but everyone has been performing really well in training and taking on board everything we ask in attitude honesty and commitment.
"It's been really exciting just watching the lads and the youthful enthusiasm that's coming out of everyone's pores, it's good to be amongst them.
"We want people that are working hard together because we want to form a strong unit that we can drive on and do well this season."
Harrogate Town play their neighbours Harrogate Railway in a friendly on Saturday and Weaver is looking forward to seeing his players in a game situation again.
"We had a practise game behind closed doors and 20 players had a run-out and a lot came out with a lot of credit," he said.
"They performed to a high level straight away. I wanted it to be a good intense pace and everyone did really well. Hopefully we can take that into Saturday."
