Victorian McKay has played one test and 10 ODIs for Australia

Yorkshire have signed Australia paceman Clint McKay for the forthcoming Friends Provident Twenty20 competition. The 27-year-old made his Test debut for his country earlier this year, and has also played 10 one-day internationals. Although he yet to play a T20 for his country, McKay was a key member of the Victoria Bushrangers team that won Australia's domestic tournament. He joins South Africa opener Herschelle Gibbs as one of two signings made by Yorkshire for the competition. "I am really excited about coming to Yorkshire and playing in a young side that has enjoyed such a positive start to the season," McKay said. "I've heard a lot about the set-up at Headingley Carnegie and I'm really looking forward to experiencing the atmosphere of Twenty20 cricket in the UK. I cannot wait to get started." McKay has taken 22 ODI wickets for Australia at an impressive average of 18.31. His solitary Test appearance was made against West Indies in Perth last year.
