Northants' Monty Panesar says he is ready for the fifth Ashes Test if called upon by the selectors. The spinner took a wicket and helped to secure a dramatic draw for England in a last-wicket stand with James Anderson in the First Test at Cardiff. Panesar told BBC Radio Northampton: "If the opportunity comes, I'm ready to perform and do well for England. "It's important to get the right team, as it's a must win-game. It'd be a big thing to be involved." The final Ashes Test gets under way at the Oval on 20 August, with the series level at 1-1.
