Premiership players to watch - Shontayne Hape
Shontayne Hape
The former Bradford Bulls centre is the latest cross-code convert and Bath will be hoping he proves a bigger success than Chev Walker, who failed to make the transition last year.

Whereas Ashton has had a season in National League One to acclimatise to the 15-man code, former New Zealand league international Hape is being thrown in straight at the deep end.

The centre, who formed a formidable partnership with now-Gloucester winger Lesley Vainikolo at the Bulls, has had to overcome several serious injuries but at 6ft 2in (1.88m) and 16st 5lb (104kg) will bring a physical presence to the Bath backline.

Hape is not the only Super League player heading to the Premiership, with Newcastle having signed 21-year-old England and Leeds Rhinos wing Danny Williams.
