After 15 years playing at the very highest level, Dallaglio brought down the final curtain on a remarkable career by helping Wasps to the 2008 Premiership title.
It is fitting that Dallaglio bowed out on the biggest stage in the domestic game against Wasps' bitter rivals Leicester.
Wasps managed to spoil Martin Johnson's retirement when they beat Leicester in the 2005 Premiership final.
But in true Dallaglio style, he managed to go one better than his long-term England colleague and bade farewell to the game in a blaze of glory at Twickenham.
