Histon to keep up Burton pressure

Steve Fallon

Histon boss Steve Fallon thinks a win at leaders Burton on Saturday will keep the title race alive.

The Stutes are 11 points behind the Blue Square Premier table toppers but have two games in hand on Albion, who have led for most of the season.

Fallon told BBC Radio Cambridgeshire: "Burton are starting to panic a little bit because they have tough games left.

"If we can go there and beat them, we'll open the title race up to a couple of other clubs."

The Stutes claimed a 0-0 draw at Wrexham on Tuesday to make it four clean sheets in five matches.

"It was a last chance for Wrexham [to keep their play-off hopes alive] and they threw everything at us, but defensively we were very solid yet again," Fallon said.

The manager says his side are well set ahead of their crunch trip to the Pirelli Stadium on Saturday.

He has a virtually fully fit squad to choose from with Neil Andrews and John Kennedy the only injury worries.

"Danny Wright (hamstring) and Antonio Murray (flu) played the full 90 minutes and will be better for that," Fallon said.
