And that's all from Andy Robertson.

Earlier we heard from Steve Clarke. Here's the best of what the Scotland manager had to say:

Scotland defender Andy Robertson on the magnitude of the game: "When you look at the whole squad we've played in some big games, so we've got that experience. There is no playing down this game is obviously a massive game.

"We know what a win would do. Everyone in the country would have bit heir hand off for a play off a he start of September. We're 90 minutes away. I hope everyone inside Hampden gets excited for it.

Premier League winner. Twice. Champions League winner. Scotland captain.

But what would it feel like for Andy Robertson to lead his nation at a World Cup for this first time this century?

"I don't like thinking about it," he replies and smiles.

Hmm, we all know that's a porky, Andy.

I'm going to guess it was one of the first things he thought about when he received the armband in 2018.

  6. 'I don't like thinking about it'published at 15:40 GMT

    Scotland

Scotland defender Andy Robertson on what it would mean to qualify for the World Cup: "I don' like thinking about it, that's the honest answer. I've been very lucky to play in Champions League finals and win trophies. I've never thought about it till it's happened.

"I'm looking forward to the fact we have a one game shoot out for the World Cup, that's what I'm pleased about. If that does happen then tomorrow night I can tell you how I feel about it."

Scotland defender Andy Robertson on the Denmark side: "They're a fantastic team full of quality. They are pot one for a reason and used to qualifying for tournaments. As it stands they are qualifying as they are in first place so it's up to us to try take away what they have at the minute."

It's well-documented, almost too much to the point nobody mentions it anymore, but a win tomorrow would scribe another incredible chapter in Andy Robertson's story.

He worked part-time at the Hampden offices while playing for Queen's Park as a youngster.

Many moons later, he is one win away - at that very venue - from leading the nation back to football's top table.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on whether it's easier knowing his side have to win: "It's one of the questions you can never really answer. We have to win the game, we know we have to win the game.

"There'll come a time in the game where maybe you have to a bit gung-ho or you have to be a little more adventurous to chase the game if you need to win it, but you have to be careful you don't lose it.

"If you're going for a draw, you get towards the end of the game and think we need to shut up shop a little bit which is also dangerous.

"We know what we have to do and hopefully we can do it."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on Denmark's weaknesses: "It's probably better I don't tell you what we're going to do. I never tell anyone about my team or my tactics.

"Denmark are a good side, habitual qualifiers. They know what to do in a game like this, a situation like this and we have to make sure we know what to do and do it a little bit better than what I believe, despite a disappointing result, is a very good Danish side."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on whether his players have had their confidence tested in recent weeks: "No they haven't. We have the points required to make sure this is the cup final we all wanted. In football, sometimes things don't go your way. I mentioned after the October camp when everybody was disappointed that we hadn't played as well as we wanted to play that the most important thing in the qualifying campaign is points, so we have those points.

"The game in Greece the other night, if you compare it to the performance at Hampden against Greece, it was probably a better performance and a lesser result. The players understand. They know how well they have to play, they know they have to play as well as they can play against a good Denmark side to get the result we want. They understand what to do."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on how his players will cope with the pressure: "The players have got a job to do. If they're not nervous or excited by the challenge ahead, they wouldn't be at this level. They understand the magnitude of the game and what it means.

"They just have to prepare for a game of football and make sure they're focused on how we want to play, on what Denmark might do. It's our job as a coaching staff is to give them the ideas and when they cross the white line, they have to go out and play. If they go out and play as they can play, then I believe that they're good enough to get the result we need."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on how he's analysed Denmark v Belarus: "I thought Belarus played as well as they did here at Hampden. Their set-up was good, their defensive shape was good and coped reasonably well with the Danes who created some big chances. Their goalkeeper made a couple of saves and they showed us some things, some moments, that hopefully we can exploit as well."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on whether qualification is written in the stars: "There's definitely work to do. We're playing a pot one team and they'll be hurting with their missed opportunity to be top of the group already. Always another game. People can speculate and think there's other bodies looking after us; we have to look after ourselves."

The media, us included, selfishly want a wee bit more from the Scotland boss at times.

But his deadpan nature surely only helps the players before massive occasions such as this.

Former Scotland defender Stephen O'Donnell said so himself on the BBC recently.

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on his whether his whole tenure has built up to this match: "Not really, no. I thought it was building up to qualification for the last World Cup and it fell flat against Ukraine. At my age, you go game to game, week to week.

"I'd like to go to a World Cup with my country. That's what I've always said. As a player, I almost got there but didn't. As a coach, last time we almost got there and didn't. We've got another chance."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on drawing on previous disappointments and his squad having players with big-game experience: "The players have shown now that they know how to qualify for tournaments. So let's qualify for another one.

"Way back at the start I said we didn't have enough experience, we didn't have enough caps in the squad. Now we've got enough caps and experience and hopefully that, allied to the talent in the group, that experience can be vital."

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on his side's positive mindset: "That's the mantra we've lived by. That little quote came out before the game in Serbia when there was no fans there. That was when we put down our mantra. Don't worry too much about the negative sides.

"And I touched on that with the supporters. They've come anticipating a big success. If they do that and we do that, hopefully we can make it a good night."

Scotland v Denmark (Tuesday, 19:45 GMT)

    Scotland

Scotland manager Steve Clarke on whether his side will just 'go for it': "You have to get the balance right in every game. Every game lasts 90 minute, these days probably over 100 minutes. You have to get the balance right between attacking when you can attack and defending well when you defend.

"We can reference back to the game against Greece and that we got quite a lot right going forward and quite a lot wrong going the other way. We have to get the balance right for sure."
