Why does the ref need to go to the screen? Obviously a penalty, highly qualified refs watching it. Just give it and stop wasting time.

Jordan Pickford outsmarted Anthony Gordon. It is not a good penalty and Pickford actually saves it with his knee.
He's gone well before he's even kicked the ball.

Pickford got down low and saved with his body. The ball spins out for a corner which Everton's defence deal with.
Honestly, the noise that greeted that save was as loud as a goal for the home side.
