After two days full of great goals, comebacks and unpredictable results in the Championship, it's probably a good idea that we have a Sunday to rest, recuperate and regain our breath!

As it is, Birmingham and Watford round off this set of matches when they meet in the Second City on Monday night (20:00 GMT) - 11th v 15th - but don't think mid-table mediocrity exists in this league.

And then 24 hours later, Blackburn welcome Ipswich to Ewood Park (19:45 GMT) for the second time this season, hoping to complete 90 minutes after their first match was abandoned in September due to heavy rain.

Thanks for your company on this most super-charged of Saturdays!

Hope you can join us again on Monday.

Millwall are up to third in the Championship thanks to a late 3-2 victory over Southampton.

They came from behind to win with a 97th-minute winner from Tristan Crama.

Boss Alex Neil has told BBC Radio London:

"I thought the game merited that type of finish.

"You've got Femi's [Azeez] goal, then Caleb's [Taylor] goal and you finish it that way, that's a game you'll always remember especially against the quality of the opposition and how depleted we are with so many young lads on as well.

"You can see how much the group like each other, they're all friends, this isn't just their work and they go home, it matters to them, this club matters to them, the fans matter to them, winning matters to them - it's a great club to be a part of."

Interim Saints boss Tonda Eckert says Millwall were a tough team to play against.

Tonda Eckert acknowledged that his Southampton side must improve at managing 'moments' after their four-match winning streak came to an end at Millwall.

Saints led through Adam Amstrong's penalty but then went 2-1 down and seemed to have salvaged a point through Finn Azaz - only for Tristan Crama to grab an injury-time winner for the Lions.

Eckert, who remains in temporary charge, told BBC Radio Solent: "We knew it wasn’t going to be easy to come here.

"We were fighting for everything in the second half, the way we came back is a compliment to the boys – we just need to then bring it over the line.

"Credit also to Millwall, the way they are set up it’s a very good team and it’s not easy to find solutions.

"In the end every single game consists of moments. It’s not easy to manage the game in those moments and that’s what we need to get better at.

"I think we all know it’s a tough league, obviously our goal was to carry on that momentum – we didn’t manage to win today but I’m sure we will be strong to go again next Saturday."

West Brom came from 2-0 down to beat Swansea 3-2 at The Hawthorns.

Head coach Ryan Mason has been speaking to BBC Radio WM:

"The whole second half was incredible - such a great reaction, so much personality and a lot of quality in there as well.

"You have to respond and we managed the period after [Swansea's two goals] OK as there was a bit of negativity in the stadium which is completely understandable.

"We got an early goal in the second half which helps and creates a bit of belief and intensity in the stadium and my feeling was it was a case of when not if we were going to win the game because there was so much quality, so much bravery."

On making four substitutions at half-time:

"It's not abut me or the subs or anything - we've got a squad and we have to use everyone and we wanted a reaction and I think we wanted personality and bravery to play and the players did that and that's the most pleasing thing."

Preston North End manager Paul Heckngbottom admits there were lots of things he did not like in his side's 3-2 victory at Sheffield Wednesday.

But he was delighted with the spirit as North End twice came from behind against the league's bottom side to dig out a win that keeps them in the Championship's top six.

He told BBC Radio Lancashire: "It's not one I'm going to enjoy watching back for lots of reasons.

"The spirit, the drive and the win to win has got us over the line. But I've said many times we wanted to improve from last season about winning games here weren't at our best.

"We've done that today, so I'm really pleased from that aspect."

It's now four defeats in a row for Charlton and 11 goals conceded in three games this week.

They took the lead at Coventry today before going down 3-1.

Boss Nathan Jones has told BBC Radio London:

"I'm really disappointed with the manner of the goals (conceded) but the level of the performance I'm relatively happy.

"First half we had the majority of the chances - with a little bit more better decision making we'd have gone in further ahead.

"It's been tough week, Southampton, Stoke away and then the leaders away, especially when we're stretched as we are but I'm proud of the applicaiton.

"Now we have to go into December and stem the tide and come out of December in a significantly better position than we are now."

Blackburn were on course for a fourth successive away win before Wrexham equalised in the fifth minute of stoppage time.

Rovers boss Valerien Ismael has told BBC Radio Lancashire:

"I'm always proud of my players - it was a consistent, strong away performance.

"We should have scored the second goal, early in the game, we had some big chances, especially in the second half.

"We defended well and then conceded the last free kick which is a disgrace for the referee to give - the Wrexham player came to me afterwards and said it wasn't a free-kick, everyone saw it wasn't and I don't why the linesman can give it.

"But we have to defend the set pieces so it's frustrating."

Philippe Clement declared that Norwich have regained their lost 'synergy' after witnessing his first win as Canaries boss - and the Championship strugglers' first at Carrow Road this season.

Clement, who succeeded Liam Manning as head coach earlier this month, told BBC Radio Norfolk after his side's 3-1 victory over QPR: "I knew that if we worked hard this moment would come.

"It's more important for the players, for the club and for the fans also.

"What you saw during the game and after the game was the synergy is totally back, it was lost a few weeks ago.

"So it's back now and they see a team fighting, but also a team creating, playing good football and of course we can still improve a lot of things.

"But the mentality of the players is positive to get three deserved points."

New Middlesbrough head coach Kim Hellberg says he was proud of how his new team produced a "massive turnaround" to beat in-form Derby County.

Trailing inside two minutes to a Patrick Agyemang strike, Boro needed goals deep in the second half from Matt Targett and Morgan Whittaker to claim three points.

The result saw Hellberg's team jump back up to second in an ideal start for the Swede.

He told BBC Radio Tees: "That was amazing. One minute, 1-0 down, rain pours down, thank you very much, welcome to England!

"But for the moment, I'm proud of the lads. How they performed over 90 minutes, how we worked very, very hard in a tough game against opponents that have won a lot of games recently and is very good at defending.

    "So that turnaround is massive.

Coventry City head coach Frank Lampard reflects on the 3-1 win over Charlton Athletic.

It's 50 goals for Coventry, five successive wins, 10 points clear at the top and a goal difference of +32.

But they had to come from behind today and boss Frank Lampard has been speaking to BBC CWR:

"A really important and good win for us at the end of a tough week.

"We've had to try to manage the squad, we've got a few issues so I was really pleased to go 1-0 down to show the patience in our game, to keep going, keep probing.

"You worry when there's a clear penalty you don't get that the whole stadium sees, you worry when they block things on the line and you wonder if it's going to be one of those days.

"To be fair to the lads they kept calm, got two goals in the first half and then saw out the second half very well against a dangerous opposition.

On Ellis Simms making it five goals in three games:

"He worked hard when he wasn't starting too much but was impacting games when he came on.

"Everyone's really happy because we know how he is, low key and humble but how he's playing now, he's a threat."

On the missing top scorer, Brandon Thomas-Asante who has a hamstring injury:

"It's not so great, he's going to be out for a minimum of six weeks."

    Media caption,

The Stoke City manager reacts to the loss against Hull.

Stoke City manager Mark Robins was angry after seeing his team let slip a half-time lead to lose at home to Hull City.

He told BBC Radio Stoke: "It was a game of two halves. We gave them the impetus, we gave them their goal, although it was offside. I've got to say it's offside and you can't miss that.

"But they've missed that and it's ended up in the back of our net. And then time after time, we were getting in really good areas and not completing the pass, not finding the man coming onto it, not finding the final pass.

"Then for the final goal, we've inexplicably given the ball away in the middle of the pitch and they've broken against us. They were better in the second half, but we allowed that to happen and that's a real frustration.

"At the end, I've spoken to the referee, and one of their players has incited the crowd and we've ended up in a situation where there are players confronting each other. We'll get charged with failing to control our players or whatever it is and it's an absolute joke.

"I'm fuming at what we did in the second half and I'm fuming at what happened at the end."

Mike White talking to Sergej Jakirovic after Hull City's 2-1 away win at Stoke.

Hull City head coach Sergej Jakirovic says that a change in attitude was the key to his side's second half comeback win at Stoke.

Trailing and being outplayed at the break, the Tigers equalised early before Joe Gelhardt grabbed a 90th minute winner.

Jakirovic told BBC Radio Humberside: "I'm very satisfied, especially after the second half when we played very well.

"The first half was not satisfying at all because we didn't play well, they were much better than us. I said to the players, if we continue like this, we can go home immediately. But what I like most about this team is that they can change everything.

"With the two substitutions at half-time, our reaction was very good. Also we started to run and fight for every ball. We equalised early and that gave us more confidence, more power, strength and energy.

"At the end, we stole a goal. It was a great counter-attack and Joffy [Joe Gelhardt] scored and I'm very happy because it was an important victory."

"We prepared a really good atmosphere for ourselves today," Struber told BBC Radio Bristol. "We go into the game with a completely different understanding from [the midweek defeat at] Wrexham.

"To pick up points here in this stadium you have to come at a really good level performance-wise and the boys did that. I would say it was the best opening 30 minutes this season.

"I know it is really difficult how we deal with the atmosphere but it was on a really high level from them and I am really pleased with how we did it.

"To be here in the end you need every single player. We defended our goal with everything we had in the tank.

"A really big win and a massive win for our confidence."

The Pompey boss reflected on a 1-0 defeat at home to Bristol City.

Portsmouth dropped into the bottom three after their home defeat to Bristol City, but head coach John Mousinho was more concerned by his side's limp display at the start of the game.

"The game was defined by the opening 25 minutes where we weren't at the races at all and that's putting it kindly," Mousinho told BBC Radio Solent.

"We fell behind to a side who were much hungrier and looked like they wanted the challenge of coming here and winning the game a bit more.

"The league position is something we are not pleased with but what is more concerning is that first 25 minutes that we put on at home. There is plenty of time left in the season and there is no panic.

"We have plenty of games between now and Christmas but we can't keep going on and saying we have competed and nearly got there. I can take losing games but not in the manner that we produced in the first 25.

"Consistency has to change. We know we can produce and dominate sides but it has been far too up and down - if things aren't going well for us we can't seem to dig in and do the basics very well."

Leicester City head coach Marti Cifuentes told BBC Radio Leicester that he was "embarrassed" by elements of the Foxes' 3-2 defeat by Sheffield United.

"It was below any standard, far from the standards that I want to set for the club," he said.

"It was extremely disappointing how we spoke over the past couple of days about reacting strong after what happened on Tuesday, about the importance of starting on the front foot the first 15 or 20 minutes at home, at our place, and we did just the opposite.

"It was just embarrassing to see some of the mistakes and it was below any kind of standards. It’s very frustrating.

"The main thing that was in my mind [at 2-0 down after four minutes] was that this is not the reaction we had been working on to show to our fans. It was very important to get them on board in the first minutes to show them that what happened on Tuesday was an accident.

"Again I think it was very disappointing to concede another two goals from set plays. But in the first four minutes to go 2-0 down is simply unacceptable."

Sheffield United boss Chris Wilder was overjoyed when talking to BBC Radio Sheffield after his side hung on to beat Leicester City for what is their third win in six days.

    "It was outstanding," he said.

"There were some tired legs at the end, I’ve told you about the schedule and being punished possibly more than anybody.

"To go Sunday afternoon, in an emotional game like that (against city rivals Sheffield Wednesday) at Hillsborough, to then go into Wednesday night and get the job done and then to come here.

"Look at their team-sheet, look at the players they have got, and especially what we did in the first half – we absolutely dismantled them.

"We were outstanding, even for the first 10 minutes of the second half. They scored a great goal that got them back in it and we did everything we needed to do. We had everything to lose, especially when the second one went in, and they had everything to gain.

"When they are 3-0 down, they can take big risks and it becomes an easier game for them and a tougher game for us. But the attitude of the team was to gain a big three points."

    Final Score at the Hawthorns

West Brom boss Ryan Mason has come under fire for his in-game management and decisions but he can only be admired for making four changes at the break against Swansea.

The home side looked an entirely different outfit in the second half where they completely dominated with balls flying into the box from both flanks.

Mikey Johnston, although without an assist, stood out as a playmaker and Aune Heggebo could have even added to his brace. The Norway international made it six goals for his club, scoring five in the last four games.

These two players faded into the background in the first half but the four changes that came across the park made all the difference to the service into the middle and ultimately the box.

A brave move rewarded in front of a raucous Hawthorns.
