A 76-year-old man has been charged with the murder of a taxi driver more than 17 years ago.

Father-of-four Harun Khan was shot outside his home in Tudor Street, Tipton, West Midlands, during the evening of 3 March 2008.

He was taken to hospital but was pronounced dead a short time later.

West Midlands Police said David Harrison, from Bilston, Wolverhampton, was due to appear before magistrates in Birmingham in January accused of the 39-year-old's murder.

Mr Harrison is also charged with wounding with intent to cause grievous bodily harm following a shooting of a 27-year-old man on 14 December 2007 in Farthings Lane, Dudley and two counts of possessing a firearm, the force added.
