Firefighters have been tackling a blaze that has swept through a cottage in a seaside village.

Norfolk Fire and Rescue Service was called to Beach Road, in Caister-on-Sea, near Great Yarmouth, at about 11:30 BST.

Everyone was accounted for, and police said they were called to seal off the road to traffic.

East of England Ambulance Service said it was called at 12:25 BST and took one patient to James Paget University Hospital in Gorleston for treatment for smoke inhalation.

The fire was put out just after 12:30 BST.

Norfolk Police said the cause was not thought to be suspicious.
