Overnight work on A14 due to remedy landslip risks
Getty ImagesOvernight closures have been announced to allow for maintenance work on a section of a dual carriageway.
The A14 eastbound between junctions two and three near Kelmarsh, near Northampton, will be shut between 21:00 and 06:00 BST from 26 January until the work is completed in April.
Engineers from Highways England will repair steep sections of the cutting on the east side of the road, which has previously experienced slips in two places.
A signed diversion route will be in place during overnight closures, and emergency services will have access throughout the works.
There will be a programme of improvements, including vegetation clearance, replacing failing sections of cutting and installing new drainage.
