Culture: Video playlist

An introduction to some typical Spanish pastimes, including basketball and Sevillanas, a dance from Southern Spain. Spanish and English pupils talk about their hobbies, where and when they do them and why they enjoy them.

This clip could be used as a model for pupils to interview each other about their favourite pastimes. The class could listen out for the most unusual of the pastimes, e.g. ‘leer Don Quixote’, and then find out what ‘Don Quixote’ signifies for Spanish culture.
