Smuggled goods in airshow display
Reptile bag and shoes
Illegal souvenirs will be among the items displayed
A polar bear skin, a crocodile handbag and carved ivory will be on show alongside aeroplanes at the 2007 Sunderland International Airshow.

They are among a wide range of smuggled items which have been seized by HM Revenue and Customs (HMRC).

Officers will also be at the exhibition stand to answer questions on duty free allowances and illegal souvenirs as well as VAT and tax credits.

Large crowds are expected to attend the show on 28 and 29 July.

The exhibition trailer, which will be at the Recreation Park in Whitburn Road, is a seized transporter unit complete with its own drug concealment space.

Gail Jacobs, exhibitions officer for HMRC, said: "We hope visitors to the show will find it interesting to learn more about our work and our success in fighting organised crime such as drug, alcohol and cigarette smuggling, illegal importations, money laundering and tax fraud.

"We look forward to welcoming visitors and will be offering friendly help and advice on a whole range of issues."
