BBC production to revisit the Raj
The BBC is to produce a 90-minute docu-drama about the last days of British rule in India.

Thirty-Six Days to Partition will form part of the BBC's season of programmes to mark the 60th anniversary of the partition of India.

More than one million died during the period that also saw mass migration, and the creation of Pakistan.

The BBC Two production, featuring archive film, dramatisation and interviews, will air next year.

A spokesman for the BBC said production on the programme, which is directed by Ricardo Pollack, has only just started.
