Typing's very important to me in my job.
I type a lot of press releases and it's important to be able to do that as quick as possible as there's so much to do each day.
So learning to touch type is a great skill where you can type but not have to look at the keyboard but be able to be focusing on the screen at all times.

I do a lot of typing, sending letters home to parents, reminders and things like and also to make enquiries via emails as well to other schools and other agencies that we use within the school.
Typing is a lot neater and tidier than handwriting and it is also a lot quicker.
Typing on a keyboard is essential when using computers. However it does come with practice!
