Newcastle scrum-half Lee Dickson has been dropped from Scotland's Churchill Cup squad after an apparent re-think on his international future.
Dickson played U-19 level for the Scots but later turned out for England U-21s.
"Earlier this season it was stressed that Lee was fully committed to going down the Scotland route," said head coach Frank Hadden.
"Now that is not the case and I will only select players who are 100% committed to representing Scotland."
Border Reivers scrum-half Robert Chrystie has been named as a replacement for Dickson in the provisional squad for May's 'A' team tournament in England.
