Fly-half Matthew Morgan impressed for a young Ospreys side
|
Fly-half Matthew Morgan starred for the Ospreys in their pre-season run-out against a Regional Select XV at the Talbot Athletic Ground on Tuesday. Morgan claimed a try hat-trick, while wing Kristian Phillips and replacement centre Ashley Beck touched down twice. It was not all one-way traffic, with Tonmawr's Ryan Bayliss scoring a fine try, while Swansea veteran Paul Arnold rolled back the years with his score. But a young Ospreys side came up trumps against their regional colleagues. The only downside for the Ospreys was an injury to centre Jonathan Spratt, who missed much of last season with a back injury and was forced off with a knee problem.
