New Ospreys recruit Mike Powell will divide his time between the regional side and Bridgend RFC this year.
The second row has captained the Ravens for the last two seasons, but young flanker Adam Whitney will take the armband for 2006/7.
"Mike will be missed but we wish him well," said Bridgend coach Chris Stephens, who has also seen scrum-half Nicky Griffiths join the regional side.
"He's on a joint contract with us, so Ravens fans will still be seeing him."
