James may not start for Wales, but the former national 1500m runner could be an explosive impact winger off the bench.
After a try-scoring debut for Cardiff Blues in November 2006, his meteoric rise continued when he was selected for Wales's tour of Australia in the summer of 2007.
He won the first of his two caps in the World Cup warm-up against England and has seven tries in 10 Blues games this season.
