Wakefield forward Glenn Morrison has agreed a one-year contract extension to keep him at Belle Vue until 2012. The 34-year-old returned to action recently having missed six matches with a broken thumb. The former Bradford Bulls star has been a stalwart for Wakefield since arriving from Odsal in 2009. Wildcats head coach John Kear said: "Glenn is a quality player and person, so we're delighted to have secured him for another season." He added: "Besides being a good player in his own right, Glenn is also a good influence in the dressing room where he is a mentor for many of our younger players." The back row forward has also played for Parramatta Eels, Balmain Tigers, North Sydney Bears and North Queensland. Meanwhile, prop Kyle Bibb has joined Championship club Whitehaven on a month's loan. Kear said: "Kyle has not been able to break into our side on a regular basis this season and in order that he can continue his development, we've agreed to Whitehaven's request to take him on loan for a month. "It'll be great experience for Kyle as the Championship is a very competitive league."
