Stacey Jones marked his return to action with a try as Catalans Dragons held off a Wakefield comeback for their fifth Super League win this season.
The Kiwi scrum-half, who has been out since February with a broken arm, claimed the first try after 22 minutes.
Team-mate Jamal Fakir and Laurent Frayssinous also crossed in Perpignan.
Wakefield hit back in the second half with Paul White scoring twice and Ben Jeffries once, but Adel Fellous and Frayssinous sealed the Dragons' win.
Dragons coach Mick Potter
"Stacey Jones commands respect. When he says 'jump', the players say 'how high'.
"He got us around the park well but we made a lot of errors in the second half.
"We will take the positives from this into next week but the defence will have to improve."
Wakefield coach Tony Smith
"Stacey Jones is a world-class player. Not only is it a positive thing that he is playing for them but he lifted his team-mates.
"But I thought we gave them too much room. We had a good preparation and I am disappointed with the loss.
"The heat was the same for both teams. It was a scrappy game and we made errors."
