Wakefield: (0) 8
Tries: George, Atkins
Leeds: (38) 44
Tries: Lauitiiti, Senior, Donald 2, Sinfield, McGuire, Diskin 2
Goals: Sinfield 6
Leeds ran in seven first-half tries to claim an emphatic victory over Wakefield to stay top of the Super League table.
The Rhinos were unstoppable with Keith Senior, Matt Diskin, Scott Donald (2), Ali Lauitiiti, Danny McGuire and Kevin Sinfield helping them to a 38-0 lead.
Wakefield rallied in the second half and restricted the champions to a solitary Diskin try.
Luke George and Ryan Atkins' efforts were small comfort for the Wildcats.
The Wildcats, who had claimed a surprise win over Bradford in last weekend's opener struggled to make an impact in the first half.
Leeds were given early encouragement when centre Keith Senior went over after Wakefield hooker Brad Drew attempted an interception.
The Wildcats could do little right, with full-back Matt Blaymire twice spilling the ball and they spent most of the opening half camped inside their own half.
The pressure told when first hooker Matt Diskin went over from Danny McGuire's short pass, then Kevin Sinfield and Scott Donald added tries in quick succession.

Wakefield were struggling to cope under the high ball and an error presented substitute Ali Lauitiiti with a simple try before McGuire got on the scoresheet and Donald added his second.
Leeds could afford to rest Great Britain forwards Jamie Peacock and Gareth Ellis at the start of the second half while the introduction of Jamie Rooney injected some vigour into the Wildcats.
Drew's kick created the try for George on 62 minutes and they added a second 10 minutes from the end when centre Ryan Atkins was released by Brough on halfway.
Leeds had the final say when Diskin went over for his second try and Sinfield kicked his sixth goal from eight attempts to take his personal haul to 16 points.
Wakefield coach John Kear: "Perhaps we fell in love with ourselves. We didn't have the edge that we had prior to Bradford and we will have to look at every aspect of our preparation to see if we are doing anything wrong.
"Leeds were very good indeed. They played some real good rugby league with the ball in hand.
"It's a very big lesson for us. If we are to be an elite team, we have got to turn up each week ready to play."
Leeds coach Brian McClennan:"It was a very, very pleasing first half. That's the best we've played this year. We were really clinical and put loads of pressure on.
"It was very disappointing in the second half but, on the other hand, Wakefield showed a lot of character to come back and compete like they did. It's hard to compete when the game is gone.
"We're getting too many penalties against us and that's a big concern. It could have been a real happy dressing room but it's a bit sombre."
