Peterborough Phantoms have appointed Tim Peacock as assistant coach for the 2008/09 season in the EPL.
He will assist new head coach Colin Patterson who will arrive at the club from Canada in August.
Peacock, whose son Craig is in the current Phantoms squad, became popular with local ice hockey fans in the 1980s playing for the Peterborough Pirates.
He also played with Nottingham Panthers and has experience coaching junior teams with Coventry and Nottingham.
