We're looking to be competing for the podium in 16 out of 18 events by London
British cycling performance director Dave Brailsford

British cyclists won eight golds and 15 medals in Manchester and performance director Dave Brailsford was optimistic for the Beijing Olympics in 2008, and even more so for London in 2012.
"We're looking to be competing for the podium in 16 out of 18 events by London," he said.
The British Olympic Association's target of fourth place in the overall medals table in 2012 has been criticised by some - notably UK Athletics chairman Ed Warner.
But Brailsford said: "It's a mindset. For example, if we want to be competitive in BMX in London then we need a winter-training facility, an indoor track so we're building one here.
"That's what the whole thing is about - removing all the obstacles that would prevent us from being competitive."
In Manchester, Pendleton led the way with three golds, Olympic champions Bradley Wiggins and Hoy won two golds each while Wendy Houvenaghel won the pursuit.
The trio of Jamie Staff, Matt Crampton and Jason Kenny, competing under the flag of sponsors Science in Sport, were eliminated from the team sprint in qualifying after two false starts.
