Lindgren calls for extra effort

Lindgren feels a home win is well overdue

Wolverhampton captain Freddie Lindgren has called on his team to put the smiles back on their fans' faces by beating Ipswich in the Elite League.

Wolves go into Monday's meeting with only one win in their last six matches, leaving them at the foot of the table.

"We're badly in need of a win and we're going to be going for it on Monday," Swedish star Lindgren said after a narrow defeat at Coventry on Friday.

"I just feel we need the next win to get us back on the right track."

The narrow 48-45 loss to the Bees at Brandon was something of a return to form, Wolves just missing out on a first away win of the season.

"Obviously it was disappointing to lose to Coventry in the end, but we gave it our best and we just missed out," said Lindgren.

"Hopefully it will be a different story on Monday and we can pull a win out of the bag for our home fans."

Wolves will be without the injured Christian Hefenbrock and will use the rider replacement facility.
